BABA AKIN-AINA
Managing Partner & CIO
Babawole Akin-Aina is a Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Obsidian Point Partners. He has over 20 years of financial markets experience at Guggenheim Partners, Sandell Asset Management, Dune Capital, and Deutsche Bank. He has extensive investment and analysis experience as a Credit Market Specialist and ascribes to Value Investing philosophy. Mr. Akin-Aina was most recently a Credit Portfolio Manager for ~$15bn in US & European Focused High Yield and Bank Loan Assets at Guggenheim Partners. More recently Mr. Akin-Aina was the cofounder and Managing Partner of a New York Based Principal Investing and Financial Advisory firm – AO Advisors LLC.
Mr. Akin-Aina graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Finance, Value Investing, and Entrepreneurship from Columbia Business School where he was a Deutsche Bank MBA Scholar.
CASEY GEORGE
Managing Partner
Casey George is a Managing Director at Obsidian Point Partners. He has over 15 years of experience in roles that span Management Consulting, Entrepreneurship, Finance and Engineering. Most recently Mr. George was an Engagement Manager at OGx Consulting, a Colorado-based performance improvement and technology solutions implementation consultancy. He was also the Senior Research Analyst of a New York Based Principal Investing and Financial Advisory firm – AO Advisors LLC. Mr. George has also held positions as an Equity Research Associate at UBS and as a Process Engineer at 3M.
Mr. George received his BS in Chemical Engineering from Howard University and an MBA in Finance & Economics from Columbia Business School.
